MINIATURE LONG HAIRED

MPD (3) 1 Leyshon’s Picklescott Zigmund. Nice quality dapple. Sweet head and high set ears, good neck, ok in front and well bodied for his age. Moved with a good stride in profile. Beautifully marked. 2  McCarthy’s Nagshall Porta Cristo. Needs more weight, which he obviously can have. Gorgeous expressive eyes and a good long muzzle. Needs a bit more front and another testicle. 3 Croxford’s Arbroath Lord of Glenghu.

PD
(4) 1 Bedford’s Wynndax Latte Leo of Dinkidudlor. Lovely type and has quality. Good neck, fairly well set back shoulders and well boned. Feet could be thicker. Correct topline and a good behind. Great temperament. Colour between light gold and fawn, pigment ok. 2  Worswick’s Dolyharp Franze Schubert. A good typy red with a pleasing head and high set ears. A little elbowy and at present is bum high. Hope he settles here as he is a nice Dachshund in good condition and coat. 3 Cawley and King’s Brynalyn Ivory Legend.

JD (6) 1  Welton’s Chelane Masterclass. A pleasing red with good ground clearance and an ideal shape. Not overlong in back, lengthy lean head, though a touch light in eye perhaps. Pretty good front, well set and carried tail and in good coat. Keeps a good outline on the move. 2  Hall’s Cliffmere Glider. Great temperament and a busy little soul! Beautifully covered body, sound front. Good head and eyes. Slightly arched over loin but still level in backline. Super coat. Just a bit too low to the ground for the standard. Moved well. 3 Oxley’s Dinkidax Donny Rova.

YD
(1) 1  Brooks’ Lyndarlea Silver Starlite. Smart dapple with a true head, slight stop and a conical backskull and pleasing foreface. Good length of neck, elbows out and he moves close coming towards. Well bodied with good ground clearance, ok in rear. Well marked.

GD
(1) 1  Broad’s Lyndarlea One of the Boys. Well muscled, good ground clearance and a pleasing head, though eyes are too round and staring. Comes at you true but shoulders and upperarm need more slope. Powerful impressive quarters.

PGD
(4) 1  Cope’s Chariomah Brandy Splash. Well made and a nice outline, well constructed front and rear. Backskull receded too much and too strong in eyebrows, which gives him a foreign appearance. I liked his overall proportions, sound movement and good topline. Cuts up in ribbing too much underneath. 2  Croxford’s Arbroath Lord of Strathspey. Much better head, but not the neck and front of the winner. His arch in the loin starts too far forward. Well set tail, excellent body and enough coat. 3 Burr’s Dinkidudlor George Mi Man at Burradach.

LD (9) 1 and CC, Wood and Graham’s Jadag Forton’s Special. Two lovely boys! The winner is super to go over for condition, body and construction for this variety. Liked his head and super temperament. Good front and forechest, well ribbed and has a firm topline. Good drive behind and in lovelt gleaming coat. He really does motor on the move. 2 and Res CC, Oxley’s Wildhatch Cropston Boy of Dinkidax. Very similar for construction and proportions. He is a most beautiful brindle that I admired a lot, just not the muscle tone of the winner.  In better muscle he would gain an easy title, I reckon. 3 Leyshon’s Picklescott Proclaim.

OD (6) 1  Brooks’ Lyndarlea Choc Ice. Nice to go over and in lovely body. Masculine head, ears could be set a little higher. Sound front, good ribbing carried well back to strong loin. Neat, well bent stifles  and low hocks. A chocolate whose colour is rather ‘wishy washy’ at present - will look good when in his new coat. 2  Watkins’ Bidornis Pinball Wizard. 8 years old and sound as a bell. Beautiful head and pigment, still keeps a smashing topline and he has good drive in quarters. Just a bit on the low side. 3 Broad’s Jenwood Ring of Bells.

MPB
(6) 1 and Best Puppy, Thomas’ Shenaligh Sweet Shadow. Stood away and she has a proper Dachshund front, well laid shoulder, lengthy slope to upperarm and a prominent forechest. Well boned and  with large, round feet. Level back, well ribbed and neat quarters. An exuberant character too! Very promising. 2 McCarthy’s Nagshall Pickety Witch. Loved her beautiful head and liquid eyes. Excellent pigment and dark eyes and rims. Soun, true front, good body but needs more bend of stifle and her tail was very short, although carried well. 3 Jury’s Torwood Too Good to be Tru.

PB (3) 1 Jury’s Torwood Too Good to be Tru.  Up from previous class. Very immature and lacks coat, and she need to grow on a touch, which she will do. Lovely head and chiselling under eyes, reasonable front. Needs more bend of stifle and to drop in rump. Promising but needs time. 2  King’s Bronia Lasting Impression with Kingsdax. More mature but she was very tight in her back and roaching it up badly. Good length to height ratio, pleasing head and stands with her front feet well turned out. 3 Halsall’s Kiddles Old Peculiar.

JB (8) 1  Worswick’s Simply Music from Dolyharp. A nice class! Winner very much a Dachshund, sound and fit and lovely to put one’s hands on. Pleasing personality and stands over enough ground for ease of movement and ground clearance.  A really nice junior who will look even better in a few months. 2  Hanney’s Bronia Navarra, Another lovely bitch, beautifully handled and presented and in gorgeous coat and body. Not quite the outgoing nature of the winner and a touch shorter in neck. Super topline and rear, well ribbed too. Moved correctly all round. 3 Way’s Messines Magic Carrousel.

YB (6) 1 Leyshon’s Picklescott Violet.  Pleasing to go over, although more muscle wouldn’t go amiss. Lovely outline and angulation and she holds her self nicely and has a good neck and head carriage. Eyes a little too round and staring. In good coat. Moving well. 2 Cooper’s Jumanda’s Gypsy Silver.  Similar type Dapple, so well muscled it pained me to put her second to a lesser muscled girl, but her hocks were longer and she was tummy tapping. Beautiful otherwise and another true mover. 3 Barnsdale’s Chriskim Trinnity.

GB
(2) 1 Cooper’s Jumanda’s Gypsy Silver.

PGB
(6) 1 Humes’ Zoflora Princess Inca. Beautifully shaped Dapple, everything in the right place but, although small, she is very thin and lacks any muscle whatsoever. A pity, as she is an excellent Dachs with great quality. 2 Cooper’s Garbosa Tilly the Tinker at Jumanda.  A bit stuffy in neck and not the front of the winner. Good topline and quarters, and in much better condition than the winner. Not moving quite so well and tailset a bit too high over a square croup. 3 Cope’s Chariomah Co Teaux du Layon.

LB
(4) 1 and Res CC, Thomas’ Shenaligh Teasel. Two nice bitches, winner has a bit more forechest than 2nd and was spot on coming towards. Pleasing head, super hard topline and good quarters and well set tail. Excellent coat and body condition, really extends both ways in profile and going around. 2  Holmes’ Tammera Touch of Elegance. Holds herself beautifully and has a good, long lean head, tight lips and well placed ears. Fair front, good behind, not quite keeping her topline in profile but it was a very cold day by now and extremely windy. 3 Cooper’s Jumanda’s Lily.

OB (6) 1 CC and BOB,  Hanney’s Bronia Serenity. A gorgeous. Immaculately turned out with a super body and muscle tone, which reflected in her driving movement. Pleasing head and eyes. Good neck and lovely, neat and even front. Well boned and with a deep chest carried well back, strong loin and lovely quarters. A super Dachshund all through. 2  Williamson’s Barkroyal Wyspering Willo. 2 years and also of lovely type. She did not have the muscular condition of the winner but her shape was good and a super body too. 3 Croxford’s Arbroath Lady Hannah.
