I would like to thank my very competent stewards and the exhibitors for the lovely entry to judge. Since last judging this variety I found that hindquarters have improved greatly the problem of cow hocks seems to be eradicated. My main concerns were forward placed shoulders and lack of bone and substance. There was quite a considerable amount of exhibits with tail faults which surprised me. Could I also point out that many exhibitors move the dogs too fast and whilst they are glamorously covering the ground at speed a lot of them are throwing their hind legs all over the place. There were several that I had to move again at the correct pace. Finally I was delighted with the quality in many classes and some decisions were literally nit picking.

Vet D/B 3 (1abs)

  1. Millers TYDURCWRT ALL’S QUIET red dog in lovely bloom and condition, firm topline on the move does not look his age. 2. Melbourne & Holdsworth BARRATINI HUBBLE BUBBLE AT MELRIDING well constructed, carrying a little too much weight that made her look too low to ground, showed her little socks off obviously enjoyed her day out.

MINOR PUPPY DOG 8 (2ABS)1. Hunts CARPACCIO CASABLANCE b&t well balanced young man , good height to length ration, well constructed, exceptional front for one so young moves extremely well with plenty of drive. Delighted to see him go BPIS .2 Coxon’s DISTINCTLY SO D’ARISCA red close decision lovely head and expression, nice well developed clean front, well placed shoulder, preferred the length of ribbing on the winner. 3.STARGANG HIGH HOPES OF ROBINSWOOD

PUPPY DOG 7(1ABS) 1. Ergis SIOUXLINE AARON pleasing head, good reach of neck, soundly made and excels in length of ribbing, good bone and feet, all of a piece on the move keeping a good outline. 2Handy’s PELIRROJA ROCKET SCIENCE lovely type, soundly made, good front assembly, not so sound as the winner in rear movement. 3. Scotts DANTON MR BROWN AT WOLFERLOW

JUNIOR DOG 5 Found this to be a really difficult class and really impress with the quality of the first 3 which I am sure will be the stud dogs of the future. Melbourne & Holdsworth MELRIDING PERKIN WARBECK Lovely head or correct proportions, good reach of neck, excellent shoulders, good length of ribbing and balanced hindquarters which he uses to the full, powered around the ring but did not co operate with his handler on the stack, can sink into his legs and give the appearance of being too low at times, sure this can be correct with gaining confidence. 2. Blackburn-Bennett STARGANG CRAZY WAVES loved this brindle youngster thought he was my class winner, lovely sound construction but could not be steadied on the move, went like a bat out of hell which caused him to scrabble on the rear end. He needs to steady up in movement. 3. STARGANG SEA STORMER lovely youngster same comments apply regarding movement, I see they are brothers.

YEARLING DOG (1abs)

POST GRAD DOG 5 ( 1abs) 1.Bishton’s LOKMADI JACK BE NIMBLE AT JAYDANIA b&T won this class with room to spare pushed hard for the CC my deciding factor was the open dog was a touch more positive in rear action. He has a lovely masculine head nice clean reach of neck, good forechest, excellent shoulder placement sound body with good length of ribbing, not too excessive in body length - all of a piece should have a bright future. Keeps a lovely outline on the move. 2. Laidlaw & Bunce RUSSTECK FIGGY DUFF smart dog with a nice clean outline moved soundly. 3. ARBENNIK ST THOMAS OF ROBINSWOOD

LIMIT DOG 7(1 ABS) 1. Protheroe’s GRANDGABLES CRAFTY LIL DEVIL AT ROYALMAPLE a nicely made dog, had the best front assembly in the class, moves out beautifully and is better on the move than standing, he seems to tense himself up on the stack, which can at times spoil his topline. 2. Melbourne’s D’ARISCA FLAUNT IT AT MELRIDING lovely type, good outline and balance and moves out will with a good long gait and rear drive, did just not quite have the pro-sternum of the winner. 3. BRONIA VALENTE AT MARVALE

OPEN DOG 6(1 abs) 1. Coxon’s CH D’ARISCA FULL ON B&T Extremely well made dog, has all the essentials, loved his bone and feet , good reach of neck text book shoulder placement, would prefer a little more refinement in head. Won his CC on accuracy of movement. 2. Daykin’s CH BARRATINI JONNY CASH another worthy champion moves soundly, not quite the bone of the winner and not so well let down into the crook. 3 MOSIARTO MISTER MOTIVATOR

MINOR PUPPY BITCH 12 (2 abs) Spoilt for choice in this class 1st and 2nd a very close decision 1.Oakley & Pearson’s MAY BLOSSOM AT ARDENRUN Glamourous clear red bitch with a classic outline and she was just as lovely to go over as she looked, lovely front elegant reach of neck and super strong topline for such a youngster 2. Rollinsons CWMDARHIAN LADY IN RED FOR DIAMONDDAX very nice promising youngster has a touch more bone than the winner which I preferred but not quite the rear angulation of 1. 3.KIRETON CICI

PUPPY BITCH 11 (1abs) 1. Shutt’s KISSED BY THE MOON DA CASA DOS QUADROS OF DONNADOON pleasing head, good reach of neck, clean neck well placed shoulder, good topline, BPB just preferred the touch more bone on the dog for the BP challenge. 2. Andison & Peel’s CLENTRY CURLEY WURLY, red br, pleasing head and neck, lovely front assembly good topline and movement, not the length of sternum or ribbing of the winner. 3.ARDENRUN VALENTINES DAY

JUNIOR BITCH 8 (3ABS) 1. Mitchells DENVER DARLING SENORITA AT BRONIA quality b&t that is very mature for her age – classic outline excels in rear drive can really cover the ground with ease. 2.Burton’s SWINGLETREES XTRAVANGANZA quality youngster very much of the same type as 1 but not so mature at the moment. 3.DEERCROFT SUMMER SERENADE

YEARLING BITCH 6 1. Blackburn-Bennetts STARGANG WYNDSMOOR TWINKLED b&t br Lovely bone and feet, good head of the correct proportions , superb front and ribbing , keeps a good topline on the move, good rear angulation but can move a little erratic when moved too fast. 2.Coxon’s D’ARISCA DRESSED FOR THE BEST extremely sound, little plain in head. 3. SWINGLETREES XTRAVAGANZA

POST GRAD BITCH 11 – A quality class that was difficult to separate 1.Stokes WEBBERS SWANSONG – interesting to see she is sired by the same dog as my RCC winner. Lovely head and reach of neck, clean shoulders, good front and length of ribbing , moves true and drives out well behind, keeps a lovely classic outline on the move. RCC 2. Boyce TYSAR MOON RIVER AT HOLLYGOR red, lovely type has all the necessary essentials, a touch lower to ground than Swansong. 3. BROCKLEWOOD BLACK ROSE this bitch completed a lovely tri she is just a little soft in feet hence her placing

LIMIT BITCH 17 (4 ABS) 1.Boyce’s LOKMADI PRETTY FLAMINGO AT HOLLYGOR 2. CWDARHIAN LADY MARMALADE BY DIAMONDDAX These two lovely red girls were like peas out of the same pod both good movers , both really good quality, both had ample bone and lovely feet and of good ratios – my deciding factor was rear angulation sure they will change places on many occasions.3STARGANG DESERT VIXEN

OPEN BITCH 9 (2 ABS) 1. Blackburn Bennett’s CH LOKMADI SEA HOLL AT STARGANG red Just fell in love with this one. The most exquisite head I have ever seen on a mini smooth, lovely reachy clean neck, excellent front, good shoulder angles, correct length of sternum and ribbing and balanced quarters , sufficient bone and lovely feet. She just demands your attention she is so glamorous CC &BOB. 2. Melbourne’s MELRIDING BERENGARIA extremely well constructed, excellent shoulders which is consistent from this kennel, just looked a little too low to ground but a little overweight which did not help matters, demanded her placing on her construction and sound movement. 3.CH SIOUXLINE THOMASINA
