Midland Dachshund Club Championship Show held in conjunction with the Hound Association Championship Show 14th July 2018

I was honoured to be asked to judge BIS & BPIS at this friendly club.  This is my last judging engagement after 57 years in the world of dogs.  Lovely to see my old friends again as I have had a rough year health wise.

The lineup for Best in Show was quality, so really enjoyed it.

BIS was Armstrong's  Blk/Tan Smooth Ch LAURALEE NICHOLAS NICKLEBY.  As usual a lovely type of animal from this long established kennel.  In top condition.  Super outline and covered the ground freely.  A worthy winner.

RBIS Wood's  Miniature Long haired dog CH WILDSTAR WROBINSON.  Very classy dog in a small package.  Should help breeders who have problems weight wise.  Judged his sire as a puppy and though he would throw nice stock.  Beautiful clear red in lovely coat.  Everything under coat is correct.  Lots of coated are not correctly constructed under the coat.  Lovely outline standing and moving.

BPIS McCalmont's Wire baby SILVAE TRADMARK, Light brindle, harsh coat, as with most baby wires a real comic and full of herself.  Very well made through and just right for her age, not to mature.  Extremely sound both ends and really covered the ground. Lovely.

RBPIS Lockett-Walters & Walters, RALINES HONEYCRISP.  Gorgeous Mini Longhaired Baby.  Very typy baby from this long established kennel.  In lovely coat.  Clear pale red.  Correctly constructed all through.  Moved with a lovely outline and so sound for a baby.

BVIS Cook & Rhodes 8.5 Yrs Longhaired ABYDACHS RIDES THE STORM TO BOURNDER. Well coated Dark Shaded Red, in lovely coat and condition.  Can still show some of the youngsters how to move.  Kept his shape at all times.  He was also BOB.  Well done.
