Many thanks to the Committee for the invitation to judge and their hospitality. Thank you to the Variety judges for sending such superb examples of their variety through for BIS, BPIS and BVIS. It was a very close decision for BIS but I chose Dare’s Ch Swansford Lionellador Darsoms as BIS and Wood’s Ch Wildstar Wrobinson JW RBIS. Both beautifully presented reds, both have wonderful breed type with correct conical heads with dark almond eyes. Excellent mouths, good ear carriage and arched necks. Plenty of forechest with well laid shoulders, tight elbows and good return of upperarm. Super bone and tight feet. Well sprung ribs carried well back and short loin. Correct tail carriage and well angulated hindquarters. Both sound movers. As I say it was a very close decision and I awarded BIS to Lionellador and RBIS to Robinson purely on the final go round when I felt Lionellador just pushed out a shade more in the rear. BPIS Dare’s Darsoms Zocratees. Red standard and I see from the catalogue I gave his Sire a CC some years ago. This kennel is to be applauded on the wonderful exhibits full of breed type that they produce and this puppy is going to be another! Has everything in the right place and sound steady mover. RBPIS Whitfield-Robert’s Dandydayo I am Moana, ML, red, lovely puppy who has many attributes, just preferred the tighter elbows on the winner. BVIS Hutton’s Ch River Rumpus Through Dachalune ShCM, B/T another I have judged before and done him well. Gleaming condition, masculine head, correct forequarter construction with prominent forechest, good bone and feet, excellent hindquarters, correct tailset and presented a lovely outline moving.

Jan Rowe Memorial Open Stakes (7, 2 abs) 1st Chapman’s Melminds Maleficent Shaded Red Long, Elegant outlook, moved out well, clean over the neck and shoulder, prominent forechest. 2nd Jameson’s Ch Djeata Spring Blossom, silver dapple veteran showing her age a touch but was better constructed than the remainder of the class.
